Moody’s 6th annual Oktoberfest hosted by the Moody Chamber of Commerce will be held Saturday, October 31st at the Moody Park. Admission is free, and the fun will start at 10 a.m. and last until 5 p.m.
This year’s Oktoberfest is going to be jam-packed with lots of entertainment and food. The annual festival, set up to welcome in the fall season, is a fun, safe family environment that can be greatly enjoyed.
“Oktoberfest is a fun place to spend time with your friends and family,” says Matthew Newton, a senior at MHS. Matthew has attended Oktoberfest every year and says he always enjoys himself.
Entertainment at this year’s festival will include “Moody Idol”, with Moody’s very own “Randy, Paula and Simon.” There will also be a karaoke contest, and a Paws N People costume contest. Entertainment will also feature Mile Marker 7, Jermaine Cobbs, and Mary Flanagan.
Children will also have a lot of entertainment. Clowns, ponies, hayrides, and a petting farm will be featured at this year’s festival.
Families will be able to have fall and/or Halloween photos made. Everyone should make sure that they come hungry because there will be food at every corner. Oktoberfest is even offering helicopter rides that will tour the skies of Moody.
There is no doubt that this year’s Oktoberfest will be a blast, and the Moody Chamber of Commerce wants families and friends to come out and have a good time.
