There’s a girl at our school who most of you know. She’s a senior this year, and one of the coolest girls I know. She’s also a great role model. Her name? Rachel Reddish.

Rachel is a seventeen-year-old senior at Robinson. She is this year’s homecoming queen as well as a wonderful cheerleader. Add to her high school resume her involvement in volleyball and track, as well as the numerous clubs including FCAS, NHS, and PALS, and it is easy to understand why Rachel is so well known and liked around campus.

Rachel explains that she gets motivation everywhere in life. When asked what her motivation was for volleyball, she said going to playoffs. It’s her senior year and she wants to make it last as long as she can. She also said she hopes the team will come together and be close. She said her motivation for cheerleading is the guys. “Without them, I wouldn’t have anything to cheer for,” she said.

When asked what her goals for this year were, she simply said, “Just to have as much fun as possible. It’s my senior year.”

After high school Rachel plans to play volleyball at the school she goes to. She wants to major in pediatric physical therapy. I asked Rachel who her biggest role model was as a child, because she’s one of mine, and she said her cousin Jennifer. “She’s strong, athletic, spiritual, and everything I’m striving to be,” said Rachel.

As you can tell from this article, I think very highly of Rachel. Maybe you should go and get to know her and see what you think. She just might rock your socks off!
