What is TAFE? For starters it stands for Teachers Association of Future Educators. The Sponsors are Mrs. Trest and Miss Mayo. The president is Chelsea Northern; she does a good job of putting things together and doesn’t go crazy in moment of chaos. She can bring silence to a room just by standing up.

Some people don’t think that TAFE would be any fun, especially when they hear that it stands for Teachers Association of Future Educators. However, you don’t have to want to be a teacher or plan on being a teacher or anything related to teachers. You just have to want to be a fun person, willing to meet new people, and just let loose and enjoy yourself.

All you have to do is pay $5 for dues and you are in TAFE for life. Not really for life, all school year. TAFE is a whole lot of fun. At the beginning of the year, they went on a scavenger hunt, which is how they kick off the new school year and get to know new members. However, to go on the scavenger hunt you have to pay your dues first. Some may say that that’s not fair that you have to pay just to go on a scavenger hunt, but they do that so people won’t go on the scavenger hunt and then not join TAFE.

TAFE recently went to a convention at Baylor campus, where they performed a skit to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Now TAFE is going to the state convention that lasts through February 25-26.
