Pembroke boys hockey team has started the season strong with a defeat against Norwell and tye against Quincy.

The past four years the team has always had star player Ryan Kulik on the ice. However, it is clear the boys  can hold their own.

Matty Sheehan has scored half the points this season and Tom Cahill is right behind him. Defender, Matt Allen stepped up on Wednesday night’s game as well, and shot a bullet on net making his first goal of the season. Jack Reardon also got his first goal this year against Quincy.

Senior goalie Kevin Plant said of Kulik, “He was a great player and a tough loss but we have a lot of returning players who have stepped up and will give us a good chance of having a strong season this year.”

“As a team we have played well at the start of this season and although we don’t have our top scorer Kulik, from last year, Matty Sheehan has put several shots on net and looks to be having a good season.” said captain, Tom Cahill.
