Salutatorian, Stephanie Roadarmel, is looking positively toward her address on graduation day. Her vision for graduation is an exciting and happy one. She is busily preparing and gathering the words to put her speech together.

She is giving a lot of thought to her message to the Class of 2006.

“The message that I want to get across is that graduation is a stepping stone into the real world, and I hope that everyone will make the right decisions and be successful. We are our own people now, and can’t rely on the opinions of our parents anymore. I want everyone to succeed and be their own person and not fall into groups and worry so much about what other people think,” she explained. “I wish everyone luck.”

Striving for happiness and success is an important aspect of her speech.

“My advice to everyone is to be happy. I want them to be successful in whatever they do,” she said. “I know college is not for everyone; but, I hope that everyone is successful in whatever it is that they plan to do.

Roadarmel sees graduation as a stepping stone in life.

“Graduation is a stepping stone,” she said. “It will close this chapter of our lives and open up a whole new book.”
