This year, in Mrs. Bartlett’s English Lit classes a new teacher is taking charge…well not exactly a teacher.
When entering Mrs. Bartlett’s classroom everything looks like an English class with a teacher and students, except for one person sitting in the corner. Many students don’t notice, while others may not think it important to question this young man sitting in the corner. This is Mr. Tanner, a student teacher. Tanner began teaching Mrs. Bartlett’s 5th and 6th periods in early May, and is now teaching Bartlett’s first three AP classes.
At first Tanner seemed nervous and anxious. Students took it as two free weeks with the student teacher; but, soon were mistaken when Tanner took charge. Tanner began to assign reading and assignments; some students rebelled, but gave in when they realized that they would be graded. So far, Tanner’s teaching is great, and students are beginning to enjoy his stories and humorous personality.
