Santana gymnastics is back. The team met this week to introduce itself to the judges and show what its athletes can do.
“We have a lot more girls on the team," said senior Courtney Totten. "It should be a lot of fun.”
Coach Jennipher Edgil, in her third year at Santana, has high hopes for her team, which numbers about 20 this season.
"We're growing in numbers," said Coach Edgil, "and hopefully we'll get ahead of the other schools."
The team's first critique match is scheduled for March 5.
"It doesn't count for anything," said Coach Edgil. "It gives the girls a chance to practice their routines before judges."
