At the end of Wednesday’s events, it was time to really dig in.
The final event of the day was the pie-eating contest, a fruity challenge that invites one student from each grade to plunge in face-first to eat pie.
Mark Berzins got busy for the freshmen class, Paul Kriz represented the sophomore class, and junior Cal Gorrell led his class. Chris Rollins chowed down for the Seniors.
It wasn’t a pretty sight, as all participants struggled to force down their pie for the win. The crowd was going wild as they looked on in hopes that their classmate could eat the pie first. It was intense, but in the end, the first student to swallow the entire pie was Gorrell.
“I actually ate my own throw up halfway through it,” confessed Rollins.
The pie-eating contest was definitely a highlight of the day.
“I thought it was amazing,” Samille Taylor.
