As usual, Spirit Week 2008 ended in with lots of energy, ear-piercing screams, and a sea of black and orange.
Students and faculty sported their orange and black gear throughout the school. Some were decked out with all sorts of accessories, and others kept it simple with basic black and orange. Some people even had orange hairspray and black face paint.
"It makes me want to get in a tiger costume and get out there," said new teacher, Steve Langlais.
Why dress up for black and orange day?
“I never really get into it, but since it’s senior year so I decided to go for it,” said Senior Kristen Nich.
Other seniors agreed:
“It’s fun and it brings the school together…” said Libby Pepin.
Though most students dress up for this day, others choose not to dress up. Some students, like sophomore, Will Galanis said that the turn out "wasn't as good as it could have been."
“I don’t feel comfortable conforming to the Spirit Week scene,” said Mary O’Connor, who chose not to wear black and orange.
Like O'Connor, a few other students opted out of black and orange day because they had forgotten about it.
"I forgot, and I couldn't really get in to it this year," Junior Kelsey Evans said.
In the end, whether students choose to participate or not on color day, it’s a day filled with bright fun for all.
