This year's Spirit Week was the closest race in years. The juniors really stepped up their game and made the seniors work for their victory. Unfortunately the sophomores fell flat this year, losing to the freshman. The winners, being the seniors, will get a pizza party in the near future as their prize. A couple years ago in 2007 the seniors began to sweat, watching the juniors unite. They pulled it together though and the legacy of the senior champions continues on. It is only a smart prediction that the seniors next year will become a powerhouse.
Senior class president Jackson Sabbagh told the Tiger Transcript “The Spirit Week committee and I worked non-stop on all the planning for the week.” Jackson has been class president since last year and delivered an exciting Spirit Week then too.
“It is difficult to organize Spirit Week when no one else wants to help out, but this year I was amazed by the participation of my class”.
The seniors came in first, followed closely by the juniors. The freshman then came in third, with the sophomores trailing behind. The freshmen haven’t achieved any place higher than last in many years.
One sophomore, Gabby Gauthier, told the Tiger Transcript “I was disappointed by my class this year so I am hoping it will open their eyes for next year”.
Hopefully next year the new seniors will lead the way to influence the other grades to go all out for Spirit Week.
