Since she first started teaching at Four County Career Center, Mrs. Cameron has brought in an inflatable planetarium every year for her students. This huge planetarium is inflated in the cafeteria for about a week for her science class. Since not everybody is lucky enough to be in her class and get to see the planetarium, this article should give you an inside look.
When asked how much the planetarium costs, Mrs. Cameron said it was free. Every year she rents the planetarium from the Hillsdale College for free. It just needs picked up and dropped off. To buy one of these huge planetariums it would cost $50,000. She also said she enjoys bringing the planetarium to the school because students enjoy the experience and its good review.
This year Mr. Blue and Mr. Kaulen brought their classes to see the planetarium too. The children from Early Childhood Education all came to see and so did Vet Tech. Each year, more and more people get to see and enjoy the planetarium. Mrs. Cameron said that her favorite part about the planetarium is that she can show all kinds of things with the different canisters the dome has. She can show her students plate tectonics, constellations, and even Greek mythology.
This inexpensive inflatable planetarium has helped many students learn and remember things taught in science. Students love to learn things in new and exciting ways, and Mrs. Cameron has figured that out.
