You may have recently heard about job placement on the announcements, and if you are interested in it there can be many advantages to this program. I recently interviewed Mr. Limber about some questions that many students would have about it job placement.
Job placement is a program that allows seniors who are in their second semester of High School to find a job that is similar to the field of study they are taking out at Four County. In addition the student gets paid and only goes to school for their academic classes like English and Government. Most students who go into job placement enter at the end of the first semester or a few weeks into second semester, but it is not too late to enter into the program.
In order to get into job placement there are certain requirements that the student must have. They must have an average of a 3.0 grade point average at the end of the first semester, no more then five absences, be on track to graduate, be recommended by their instructor and supervisor and have transportation with a valid drivers license. Once the student is in the program they can enjoy a few advantages, like getting paid and getting out of school early. To add to that those students who do job placement can help themselves set up a permanent job or it can even help them further their education. Finally, at the end of the interview Mr. Limber said “that a good person to go into the program is someone who is dependent, enjoys the work and has a lot of livelihood.” If you have any questions about job placement ask Mr. Limber.
