Jeremy Johnson is more than just a student at Tahoma. He is a twelve year veteran of the district. He is a captain of the Golf Team (which, by the way, he placed 21st at districts and made it as an alternate to state), he is a graduating senior, and also, a student. As a Captain, he had some challenges to face. “Getting the team pumped for a match, by far” Johnson says with a slight smirk. He also reflects on his favorite memory “Golfing in the eight man play off to get to state. It was nerve wracking, but I kept my focus where it needed to be, and took all seven other players out”.
As a Senior, it is different than being a student. You have a responsibility to your school. Johnson, does not recall any feeling of said responsibility “just come here and get it done” is how he states it. Challenges are still faced though “as a Senior, making it to state, and getting the STEP done on time were challenges. On a lighter note, some fond memories are recalled too “chillin’ in choir, and pretending to sing when Mr. Riggs passed us [Johnson and Craig McCurdy].” He definitely has some good memories, as well as the bad.
As a student, Johnson reflects that the hardest part was, simply put, coming to school. He does not really have any awesome memories as a student. This boy, rather, this man is on his way into the real world now. High School is over, and he knows he is more than ready to leave it and face society.
