Students are now used to their school routine, they are getting used to piles of homework. For others, it’s hard to get all of it done. Homework, class work, and over all school stress makes school tough. Some students would rather be elsewhere with friends. When you’re trying to balance education and a social life (and perhaps a job), some people tend to freak out! Here are some easy ways to manage and relieve some of that stress.
Stare at a fish tank: Studies show that even just having a fish tank (whether or not it has fish) can reduce stress and lower blood pressure.
Meditate: This is one of the easiest ways to manage your stress; it also decreases occurrences of headaches and enhances your immunity. So sit down and focus on nothing. Any comfortable position or that cross legged pose you usually picture when thinking off meditation. Just relax!
Sing along to your favorite song: Music has a huge effect on people’s brains; just listening to music can ward off depression, relive stress, and lower blood pressure.
Don’t commit to EVERYTHING: Everybody likes to have something to do during the day; sports, clubs, jobs, etc…But when you over book and have no time to just relax it can cause tons of stress. So only choose a couple of activities you like and stick with those. Have some “you” time and don’t worry about being lazy. You owe it to yourself to relax.
There are many more ways to manage the pressures of life. Try to keep cool and do well in school.
