Welcome to Tahoma’s first edition of “Bear Buzz”. These articles will specialize in movie news, rumors, and reviews. But I will never share any information regarding the Twilight saga, deal with it.

Let’s kick it off with some big news; a fourth installment of Pirates of The Caribbean has been confirmed. Disney recently released a comic-con teaser with Johnny Depp reprising his role as Captain Jack Sparrow. Geoffrey Rush (Captain Barbossa) will also be coming back.  However, Kiera Knightley and Orlando Bloom will not be returning. Surprisingly, Director, Jerry Bruckheimer, has released several facts about the upcoming movie. For instance, new villains and plot concepts. In the past we’ve seen Jack battle undead pirates, sea monsters, navy soldiers, and Davy Jones. But now he will face off against one of the most infamous pirates of all time, Blackbeard. I’ve also discovered that Penelope Cruz (Sahara, 2005) will be playing his daughter. Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is scheduled for release May 20^th, 2011.

    Big news for all you comic fans out there. In case you haven’t noticed, Marvel Studios has been hinting at an Avengers movie for a while now. The Avengers is a league of superheroes including Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow, and Nick Fury. So we’ve already seen a Hulk movie with a Tony Stark (Iron Man) cameo. And we’ve also seen appearances from Nick Fury and Black Widow in the latest Iron Man film. What most do not know, is that both Captain America and Thor films are scheduled for release next year. Chris Evans who is no stranger to these superhero roles will be playing Captain America. He also starred in Push and The Fantastic Four 1 and 2. Marvel has been known to have at least one release a year. But we haven’t heard from DC comics since The Dark Knight and Watchmen. That’s about to change. I’m excited to announce that a Green Lantern movie is currently in production starring Ryan Reynolds (X-Men Origins and Waiting). Also, Zack Snyder is attempting to re-boot the Superman franchise, seeing as how the previous movie was a complete flop to say the least. Christopher Nolan, director of The Dark Knight, well be overseeing the production of the film. His intentions are to have a darker spin on the classic comic book hero. So there’s the scoop for some of the upcoming releases from DC and Marvel.
