Hamlet -

Hamlet “To be, or not to be...” that’s a good question. People live, knowing that they must die. They know they could die at any moment, at any time, so why not die at a particular moment, and a particular time. You can fight the forces of nature for only so long, so why not beat nature to what it does best. Or on the other hand you can fight the forces for as long as possible and have a chance of living a good life. A good life being, happy, has good memories, having friends, and knowing love. “Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to so suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune...” This complexly states, is it better to be head strong? Is it better to live life as best as possible and love everyone around you, through every bad time that life throws at you? That’s what Hamlet is saying in a new day and age. “Or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing end them, to die, to sleep, no more; and by sleep to say we end...” Or is it better to end it all, and not have to deal with all the piteous things that happen to a single person? Is better to end all the bad for the nothingness that could await you, the fiery pits that rage below, or the perfect place with no trouble to possess? That’s what Hamlet Hamlets’ uncle killed your father to take his role as king, marries his mother, which now would make him his father, uncle, and king. Not only all that but a ghost of his biological father is telling Hamlet to revenge him by killing his uncle/new father/new king. Talk about an atrocious determination to put an end to a single man. If you were in the emplacement of Hamlet, what would you choose? To be, or not to be? Now do you understand why that’s a good question? After all that, it didn’t change your mind what if you knew that he would kill your mother in the process of killing you which he succeeds in. What would you choose if all that was going on in your life? Would you choose to live with all the pain in your life that you can not mend to, or be one of the many non-existent people that everyone will eventually forget about? Would you want to live with pain, or die and feel nothing, not even love? Or as Shakespeare so simply wrote, “To be, or not to be,” what’s your answer.
