Average Joes overcome the Cobras 2010 Powderpuff Champions - Average Joe's - Amy Melton Advertising Sunday, October 10, 2010 By Amy Melton This year the powder puff championship was between The Average Joe's and the returning champions, The Purple Cobras. Both were very competitive and tough teams that went undefeated throughout the tournament. The game started off with the Average Joe's scoring a touchdown the first few minutes of the game. This made the Purple Cobras put their game faces on and they ended up catching up. These girls all took powder puff very seriously this year and played an intense game. The girls played hard and dirty all for the pride and joy of the victory they were all hoping to achieve. In the end, the Average Joe's won 14-12. It was such a close game but there had to be a winner. Team mates Courtney Rehl and Krystal Evans said, “The Purple Cobras were a tough team and won last year so we were thrilled to beat them!” Although the Joe's had a great victory, they were bummed there was no faculty team this year for them to play; however the Average Joe's had an awesome game and have now left a legacy on powder puff games for the years to come.
