Fashion show runway - Cortney Ratashak
Advertising
On the night of Saturday, November 6, Plato’s Closet hosted their first ever Fashion Show in an effort to raise money for the Pink Ribbon Foundation: A foundation which puts money towards the needs of Breast Cancer patients.

The show proved to be a success as the building hosting the show was packed with guests eager to participate in the silent auction, raffle give-aways, and of course, enjoy the fashion show.

Both the silent auction and raffle featured items generously donated to the show by individual artists, salons, and restaurants such as the No Name Grill. Gift cards, art work, and fun gift baskets were all included in the auction. The raffle also included gift-baskets, along with purses and Pink Ribbon merchandise.

The Plato’s Closet fashion show would not have been complete without it’s impressive DJ, two guest speakers from the CU hospital or the beautifully set up run way.

The show featured over 20 models at a wide variety of ages, both male and female. Each model was equipped head to toe in clothing that could be found and bought at Plato’s Closet.

In an effort to further benefit the Pink Ribbon Foundation, Plato’s Closet opened up after the show, and would donate 20% of all sales to the foundation.

Breast Cancer awareness was also raised by the two CU Hospital Speakers, as they shared their own personal experiences with Breast Cancer and also enlightened the audience on Breast Cancer facts and important knowledge.

The Plato’s Closet Fashion Show was made possible by the great turnout of people, the volunteer models, generous donations, and by the hard work and effort put into the show by the Plato’s owner and managers.
