For movie goers, some unforgettable films were released in 2010.

Movies such as Toy Story 3, Inception, Alice In Wonderland, and many, many more.

According to boxofficemojo.com, the top ten movies of 2010, based on how much money they made, starts off with the third adventure with the toys from Toy Story 3, which brought in a whopping $415,004,880.

Junior, Julie Flores, stated, “Toy Story 3 brought me far back into my childhood, and I was a kid for an hour and a half. I adored it. It really touched me.”

Ranking in second was Tim Burton’s version of Alice in Wonderland; this movie brought in $334,191,110.

Taking the spot for third is Iron Man 2, which grossed $312,433,331.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse took fourth with its intake of $300,531,751.  

When senior, Tiffany Romary, saw Eclipse, she was “smiling the entire time.”

Injecting itself in spot number five was Inception, which brought in $292,576,195.

The first part of the last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 brought in $288,404,268, landing it in spot number six.

Movie number seventh was Despicable Me grossing a whopping $251,413,975.

The eighth top grossing movie for 2010 was Shrek Forever After which made $238,736,787.

Dropping down to the lower ranking movies, comes How to Train Your Dragon taking the ninth spot and bringing in $217,581,231.

Last but certainly not least was Tangled, a twist on the classic story of Rapunzel, which made $177,028,039.

Having already released several motion pictures, 2011 is expected to live up to the standards of the movies in 2010.
