Get bold! Get wild! Get ready to get wet! That’s right Apponequet, bathing suit season has arrived! With highlighter hues and animal prints in every color under the sun, this summer promises to bring the bang back to the beach!

Cheetahs, peacocks and zebras, oh my! No, there’s no need to get your passport ready ladies. We’re not headed off to the wild, but the flashy prints that are splashed across bathing suits this season promise to grab your attention, just as fast as the roar of a lion. Whether it be the season’s hottest style, the cut-out one piece, (Yes, the one piece is back in style, but don’t worry, it comes with a little 21st century twist.) or the consistent favorite of beach goers, the bikini, the print of wildlife has found it’s way to burrow all over our suits this sunshine season.

Another hot trend this summer: the neon! That’s right, get ready to highlight, (literally), all your best assets. With suits like Mara Hoffman’s vibrantly painted pieces, all the attention will sure to be on you when you hit the surf and sand this summer.

For all of you guys who want to look hot when it gets humid too, the bright color rule also applies! Stick to what works best with the season, shades like traffic cone orange and double lime green will definitely win plenty of attention in the waves this summer.

For every great look on the beach this summer, the perfect accessory is key! A must this summer, the accessory that is not only one of the trendiest items in the beach bag nowadays, but also one that may save your life, that’s right, the SPF! Be it 15, 35 or even 70, don’t forget to smooth it on before sipping any lemonade, splashing any waves, or skimming through any magazines at the beach this summer. Be a smart beach-goer, stick to the styles of the season and look great, while staying safe! Happy beach-going, my fellow Lakers! Let’s hit the sun!
