On Friday October 28th, the students of Agar-Blunt-Onida School District were rewarded at an assembly for their outstanding academic achievement. They were presented with movie tickets, five dollars worth of concessions, root beer floats, and no homework for the weekend. The students were gathered and told that ABO has gotten “Distinguished District” for 2011. Mr. Lodmel, the principal, thought that the assembly was a great idea and that we need to recognize the accomplishments of our students and staff. He hopes that the students appreciated it. In future years, Mr. Lodmel expects the students to continue the strong academic tradition and standards that have been set for ABO. He is proud of the students and staff, and says that both groups should be proud of themselves as well.
“I am very proud to announce that, once again, our junior and senior high schools have been designated as ‘Distinguished Schools’ from the state of South Dakota. In a feat even more impressive, the Agar-Blunt-Onida School District has earned the honor of being named a ‘Distinguished District’ once again.”
Congratulations, Everyone!
