For the past couple of years, our economy has been getting worse and worse. Global warming has also been a part of the disastrous decrease in the economy. One thing everybody asks me is how does Santa Clause make a living? Does he have any problems with the economy? Well the answer was no until this year.

Santa Clause had to make some changes this year due to the decrease in our economy. He has had to downsize the gifts for all the young children. He cannot afford to pay his elves anymore, so some have lost their jobs because of it. No one knows what the elves will do now. The only thing they were good at was making gifts for children.

Now that the elves have no job, they will have to get sent to the Land of Misfits. The Land of Misfits is a place where toys get sent when they are not needed anymore. Now that the elves are not needed, that’s where they will have to go.

“At least Santa will save more money, and maybe someday he can rehire us to work at the North Pole again,” said one small elf that is hoping for his job back. Maybe in a few years Santa Clause will get enough money saved up to get more elves to work in his factory. Hopefully the economy will get stronger, and increase so the poor, little elves won’t have to stay in Misfit Land forever.
