Boys Basketball

The team ended the season with a victory at Blair on Feb.19, giving them a record of 4-13 after winning only two games last year.

The team benefitted from a sophomore- heavy roster that included only three freshmen.

“We played very well this year and our team chemistry helped us double our wins from last year,” said sophomore captain Danny Benjamin.

Girls Basketball

The girls squad finished the season 5-12, though they ended the year with back-to-back wins.

“We came together as a team, which helped us win those last few games,” said sophomore guard Kasey Carroll.

The team suffered a seven-game losing streak early in the season.

Hockey

After a 0-5 start, the hockey team ended their season on a high note, winning three of their last four games.

“Many of our players will see varsity ice time next season and all of them deserve recognition for their hard work this season,” said coach Vincent Martorano.

Wrestling

The team ended a tough schedule in the regular season with a record of 1-6-1. Sophomore Nick Taylor picked up a key win against Watkins Mill on Jan. 30, and sophomores Tristan Plunkett, Mauricio Huaroto and Michael Bouvet placed first, second and fourth, respectively, at the JV County Tournament at Gaithersburg on Feb. 18. This strong showing late in the season provides hope for the future.
