Girl’s Varsity Soccer

The girls’ varsity soccer team lost in a head-to-head match up against Longmeadow in the Western Massachusetts final on Sunday, November 14th. Led by senior captains Sarah Wilson and Melissa McCarthy, the girls lost 1-0. Senior goalie Liz Morsi finished her senior year giving up only two goals the entire season.

Girls’ Field Hockey

The girl’s field hockey team matched up against Longmeadow on Sunday, November 14th to finish an 11-6-4 season. Led by senior captains Hailey Sarage, Phuong Pham, and Jessica Ginsberg, the team lost 2-0 but gained the title of Western Mass. finalist for the first time in Minnechaug field hockey history. Sophomore Liz Fontaine stepped it up as the teams starting goalie with a great save record throughout the season.

Gymnastics

The girl’s gymnastics team placed third in Western Mass. on Friday, November 19th, beating their highest score this season by two points. Junior captain Susan McDiarmid scored an 8.75 on the beam, and placed 7th in the entire tournament.

Boys’ Soccer

The boys’ soccer team ended their season with an upsetting loss to Ludlow in the semi-final game. Led by captains Kyle Schmutte, Bryan Markham, Paul Murphy, and Chris Keinith, the boys finished their season with a 3-1 loss, but keeps high hopes for next years’ season.
