Randy Moss With The New England Patriots - google

Randy Moss is one of the best Wide Receivers to ever play in the NFL. Many people would even argue that he is the second best after Jerry Rice. Jerry Rice played for 20 seasons, and Miss is currently playing in his 13th season in the NFL. As you can see in the chart below, if Moss continued to play good, and play as long as Jerry Rice, he would have very close, if not better stats. In 10 of Mosses 12 seasons, he’s had over 1,000 receiving yards. 2004, with the Minnesota Vikings, and 2006 with the Oakland Raiders he had less than 1,000. He was drafted 21st in the 1st round in 1998 to the Minnesota Vikings. He originally attended Florida State University for college, and played football there in 1995. After playing there for his first season, he served jail time for testing positive for Marijuana. Florida State University dismissed him and he then transferred to Marshall University in West Virginia.
His first season with the Minnesota Vikings, he had 69 receptions, 1,313 yards, 19.0 yards per catch, and 17 Touchdowns. He had a very good rookie season, and to top it all off, he won National Football League Rookie of the Year Award. He also holds the record for most touchdowns in one season in 2008 with the New England Patriots with 23.
The 2010 season has been fairly rough for him thus far. He started off playing for the New England Patriots, as everyone expected, and played 4 games there. Everyone expected him to retire as a Patriot. But in the game on October 4, 2010 vs. the Miami Dolphins, he had no Touchdowns, no catches, nothing. That’s when people started getting suspicious. October 6, 2010, two days after the game, the Patriots traded Randy Moss back to the Minnesota Vikings, where he started of his NFL career.
Everyone thought Moss would be happy at his original team, and thought he’d happily finish up this season, and maybe play more there, especially with Brett Favre as the quarterback. He played 4 games there, and again unexpectedly was removed from the team. The Vikings waved him November 2, 2010. Brad Childress said Moss wasn’t right for the team after he had a press conference rant as well as other problems he was having this attitude. His attitude showed when a local restaurant owner made a buffet for the team, and moss freaked out. When the Pioneer Press interviewed the caterer, he said, “We had the whole buffet set up, and we had a nice spread -- chicken, ribs, round of beef with a carving station, the whole deal, (Moss) comes in, and I'm helping one of the guys and didn't look up, and all of a sudden I heard, 'What the (expletive) is this? I wouldn't feed this (expletive expletive) to my (expletive) dog!' And he's screaming it at the top of his lungs."
November 3, 2010, the Tennessee Titans claimed him off waivers, and has started to practice with them the week of November 8, 2010. So his first game as a Titan is this Sunday.
