Walking around during class guarantees that you will be seen by the watching eyes of the security cameras. - Savanah Frostenson

All day long students are sneaking around doing things they’re not supposed to. Think about it. It’s winter, no adults are on the pathway between schools, so why wouldn’t we be throwing snowballs at each other? Why wouldn’t we sneak out of class in the last couple of minutes when the teacher isn’t watching? Why wouldn’t we slip out for lunch even though we’re not Seniors? It’s not as if we had guards at the doors, right? Well, let’s think again, students. Our schools are equipped with a number of cameras, and each and every one is there solely to watch you; to make sure you’re doing what you’re supposed to be doing. “It’s like having dozens of Mr. Lowe eyes, instead of just my one,” Mr. Lowe says of the school having cameras. Consider this a moment, and your next question will probably be, “What kinds of things has he seen us doing?” Students, we’re not nearly as clever and sneaky as we think we are. Our schools’ cameras are useful in finding out and solving all sorts of problems, which include students doing donuts in the parking lot, leaving for lunch, fighting on the pathway, and leaving class early. Cameras also help find the culprits to thefts in the school (That’s right, you are being watched. Re-think taking that I-pod in the locker room). What else are students doing that they think can’t be seen? Well, you know when you’re the only people in the hallway, and you’re getting touchy-feely with your boyfriend/girlfriend? Yes, that can be seen too, as well as throwing friends up against lockers, and anything else you do when you think you’re alone. Just a news flash; you’re on camera.
