This I believe. . .that faith is the most important thing a person can have in their life.

On many occasions my faith and prayer and have helped me. One specific occasion was when I thought I had lost my Mr. NDA ticket on the night of the show, which was obviously a tragedy. I was certain that I had put the ticket in my jacket pocket, and that jacket had just gone through the wash and nothing was to be found.

We were on our way to a tennis tournament that morning, and on my way I prayed to Saint Anthony. I was sure I had looked through my backpack, but when we got back from the tournament, the ticket was sitting clearly visible in one of the pockets. From then on, I have prayed to Saint Anthony every time I have lost something.

Aside from that story, I have found that people with a strong faith are simply happier people. My mother and one of my aunts prove that. My other aunt, who doesn’t really have a religion, just doesn’t seem to be as happy or fulfilled as my mother or my other aunt.

In the end, I believe that faith makes my life more purposeful and just overall better. Knowing that there is a God who will always love me is comforting, and helps me get through the obstacles in life.
