To many people outside of our school, Ranchview is a basketball school that has fallen off of the peak of its initial success. However, if you look a little closer, the band happens to be one of the most successful groups. They’ve have been receiving accolades and establishing a tradition of excellence for quite awhile and this year is no different. At the 2010 UIL Marching Band Competition, the band received 1^st Division (which is the highest rating and equivalent to Exemplary) from all six judges. This is another major achievement for the band directors and their students. Congratulations to the band for all their success this year and to the success I’m sure they’ll enjoy in the future.
