Michelle Delgadillo, Vanessa Palacio, and Cristal Aguayo successfully complete one of their stunts.
The future generation of our High School cheerleaders made their debut at our first home game of the season on Friday, September fourteenth. Lauren Montgomery, age eight, suggested to her mom, Linda Montgomery, that it would be a great idea to start a junior cheer squad. Miss Montgomery asked Ally Gucwa, a former member of the High School cheer squad, to coach the young girls. She has taught them all of the old cheers and some of the stunts, such as cartwheels and somersaults. There are a total of eleven girls and they practice everyday at the circle at 6 P.M., carefully being watched and supervised by Ally and Linda. They attend all of the home games wearing our school colors and shaking their pon poms with big smiles on their faces. They hope to raise money for uniforms and they are trying to set up a pep rally before the Homecoming game, our last home game of the season.
