Now, representing a school may sound like an easy task that any average student can do, but when it comes to representing the Colonel spirit at Covington Catholic, well, let us just say it takes an ambitious individual to live up to our respectable image. This is Covington Catholic’s first year with the Ambassador Program and is a great expansion in getting the students involved. They must embody everything that makes up a colonel: ambition, friendliness, charity, and not to mention, team spirit. A lot of weight is on their shoulders.
They must be familiar with all of the activities that go on in our school and being role model leaders, they must make sure that others, especially new students, get involved. Like the real deal, they also try to get prospective 8th graders to come to Covington Catholic by showing them all we have to offer. Good behavior and a nice GPA are also expected from them.
So the next time you see your fellow Colonel comrades, make sure you give them a pat on the back for working hard at what makes our school so great.
