Many artists have written songs to help others express their feelings to their significant others. These songs caught my attention according to the content and what is mentioned about love. The songs to me represent all different types of stages in a relationship and can be relatable to a wide range of people.
1. “Just the Way You Are” - Bruno Mars: Finding someone who can love you for the person you are is rare. However, Bruno Mars makes this seem possible with his song “Just the Way You Are.” This song speaks of the things that women would like for men to say to them but can’t, or don’t know how.
The love Mars has for this woman doesn’t go unnoticed and he tells her how she is beautiful to him, no matter what imperfections she thinks she might have. He tells his girlfriend that he will never ask her to change for him and if she is searching for perfection, then she should stay just the way she is.
2. “Lost Without You” - Robin Thicke: This is a song about how a man loves his woman so much that he doesn’t know what he would do without her. He can’t help how he feels about her and wants her to know that he loves her.
Thicke talks about how he can’t help but loving everything about her, from her mind to her body. He tells the woman that he cares for her and that he doesn’t want to be with anyone else. Thicke also tells listeners about the things she does to make him want her more than he already does.
3. “Made To Be Together” - Trey Songz: Another one of Songz’ hit singles is about how the girl he loves completes him. She left him for a couple of days and the song explains how much he misses her touch and the warmth of her body next to his.
He uses analogies like washing the pillowcases and sheets but she still won’t be there in the end. The song reiterates the fact that the two were meant to be together and without her, he is nothing.
4. “All I Want Is You” - Miguel Jontel: This song is a plea from a guy to a girl to get her back. He sings about how being friends is really hard for him because of the feelings that he has for her.  He has a lot of regrets about breaking up with her and he can’t forget about all the good things they had going for them.
He talks about how the girl’s looks are a distraction but he realizes that deep down, all he wants is to be with the one that he loves, but he can’t because she is gone.
5. “Unthinkable” - Alicia Keys: Alicia Keys portrays a woman who’s in a relationship with a man whom she loves and she wants to be able to express her feelings to him.
She talks about how he makes her feel and what he does to make her feel special. She tells her significant other in this song how they shouldn’t give up on love and how they are meant to be together.
6. "Everything To Me" - Monica: Monica professes to her man how he is everything to her and how she feels. She explains how if he ever left her side, she would probably die without him. She feels as though he is the air that she breathes and that the love he gives to her doesn’t compare to anything she has ever had.
7. "Baby" - Justin Bieber: The new up and coming star wants to take his friendship with a girl to another level. He talks about how they are meant to be together but the girl is in denial. He believes that they are meant to be more that just friends. He talks about how he thought that this girl would always be in his life, but he ended up heartbroken.
8. "You're the One For Me" - Dondria: Dondria portrays a woman who is with a man that makes her feel special in his own way. She says that she can’t see herself with anyone else. She also talks about how he makes her feel and how she has never had a guy make her feel like he was the one for her. She just wants to apologize to him and tell him to come back home because that’s where she feels he belongs.
9. "The War" - Wale: Wale touches many hearts with this song by sharing his thoughts regarding a girl and their relationship. It’s pretty complex because he says how one minute he loves the girl and the next minute he hates her. He talks about not wanting to love her but being scared to leave her. He asks the girl why they have to argue and fight. He just wants to love her and when they fight, they don’t know what they are fighting about.
10. "Can We Talk" - Tevin Campbell: This song is about a young man who has his eye on a young woman. He wants to get to know her but he is really shy and doesn’t know how to approach her. He tells the girl that if he had one more chance with her, he wouldn’t mess it up and he wants another shot at love with her.
