Fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of “The Lion King 3-D,” and the day we have been waiting for is finally here. “The Lion King” roared into theaters  Sept.16,  attracting people of all ages to the nearest cinema.

Some were afraid that adding 3-D effects to this classic Disney movie would ruin its magic. “It is just a little kid movie and they’re just trying to get people to watch it,” junior Chelquila Haislep said.

Freshman Alex Casto was one of those devoted fans who enjoyed the new version. “The 3-D effects made it cooler,” Casto said.

The remake gives viewers the illusion that they are sitting in the middle of The Pride Land watching Simba along his adventures. According to movies.yahoo.com, “The Lion King” made it to #1 in the Box Office Top 10 Movies, raking in over 61.5 million dollars.

“The Lion King” is only in theaters for a limited time and it comes out on Blu-Ray Oct. 4.
