In Louisville during the winter, there is nothing to do. There’s not much to do in the summer either, but that’s neither here nor there. However, the winter does bring something to Kentuckiana. When you think about the winter, you think about snow, and since we don’t really get much here, you can take the short drive to Paoli, Ind.

Paoli Peaks is one of the best attractions around Louisville. Only about 45 minutes from Louisville, Paoli Peaks brings skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.

You say you’re not much of a skier or boarder? Doesn’t matter because Paoli isn’t exactly a mountain. The short, simple runs give beginners a great chance to learn.

For the more experienced, it’s also a great place to touch up on riding skills. Paoli’s terrain parks have many boxes and rails for those gnarly riders. Just free riding also brings a good challenge.

Don’t have the equipment? A lift ticket and renting a board or skies is usually around $60.
