The TeraViks robotics team is gearing up for its second season at CHS. Though the team won the Rookie All-Star Award last year and advanced to the world finals in Atlanta, Georgia, the team is not budgeting in anticipation of returning to the world finals.
“We’d rather work on the team this year than have the time get back to the finals,” Nick Induni, senior, said.
The team is in pre-season. To better prepare themselves for when the actual season comes around, robotics members divided into three groups: programming, mechanical, and marketing/organizing. Induni said the team is hoping for those groups to “be good at what they do” by the time the TeraViks head into competition. The team is also constructing a cart to transport the robot.
“We are hoping to be a lot more organized this year and be more efficient,” Induni said.
