Softball season is starting early. The Lady Bears are working on getting ahead on and
off the field. They practice Monday, Wednesday, and every other Saturday. On November 12, the Lady Bears started off the season by taking donations at Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market.
The Lady Bears collected donations to help pay for new uniforms tops, new equipment, and travel to tournaments. While collecting donations many of the girls enjoyed bonding with their teammates. "Spending time with teammates and getting to help the team was the best part about collecting donations," said sophomore Brittney Hubbird.
The morning shift for collecting donations was from 8:45 to 12:45. The girls were split into two groups and were competing against each other to see which door could get the most money. The afternoon shift was from 12:45 to 4:45, with the girls competing with
each other like the first group did.
Over all the whole team made a little over 800 dollars. "My group raised over 300
dollars. I think we raised more than the first group," said senior Alex Tessman.
Come out and donate to the team on Super Bowl Sunday at the Wal-Mart Super Center and get your car cleaned in April by the team.
