Tonight the Cougar wrestlers will travel northwest to face off in a duel meet with the Altamont Longhorns.
    Last week UHS wrestlers hosted their annual Friday Night duels with several visiting schools. (Results were not available at press time.)
    Before that the team had traveled to Evanston for its first away meet of the season.
    Coach Shane Ivie said, “At Evanston the boys did well and the team showed improvements." Ivie said that he was happy with their efforts and the wrestling team improvements.
    He's expecting more improvement this year and there will be more in the years to come.
    The expectation of the team is to work hard and to place in the state competition.
    Last Saturday evening, the wrestling team held its annual dinner and auction. The funds from the event will go to help in purchasing a new wrestling mat and help pay for the travel to the meets.
    Coach Ivie wanted to thank all of those who came to the dinner and auction and helped support the UHS wrestling team--especially those who come out to the meets and really support the wrestlers.
