The story of paranormal events occurring on a nearby ranch may not catch your attention at first. But after reading tales of bullet proof wolves, poltergeists, unidentified flying objects, and skinwalkers you might change your mind.

Hunt For The Skinwalker is a book based on true events that were experienced by the “Gorman Family”. It was written by Colm Kelleher, Ph.D., and George Knapp, an acclaimed investigative journalist.

Colm Kelleher, leading a first-class team of research scientists, spent many days and nights on the ranch to experience the bizarre phenomena along with George Knapp, who was the only person allowed to document a the team's findings.

The setting of the book is at a place called Skinwalker Ranch, also called UFO Ranch, which is here in the Uintah Basin. Past the ranch is a place called Dark Canyon, where there are ancient petroglyphs depicting skinwalkers. The skinwalker is said to be the most powerful kind of witch. It is believed that they were once the messengers of tribes that were sent to communicate with neighboring tribes.

It is told that the ranch is in “the path of the skinwalker." According to history there is an ancient Navajo curse that sent the skinwalkers to punish the Ute Tribe. For this reason tribal members are forbidden to step foot on the property. Other explanations for the paranormal activity is that houses were once built on the burial site of buffalo soldiers. Some even believe that the whole story is a hoax made up by the Gorman Family to draw attention.

If you would like to find out more about the Gorman Family and their mysterious ranch , I would suggest reading the book.
