Our very own North Muskegon High School is generally not known for having students that sport "ink". When you think of students who have tattoos, you may think of schools like Oakridge or Orchard View. This is ironic because Orchard View is exactly where senior Tyler Rennells came from.

Rennells made the decision to get his first tattoo in the seventh grade. He decided to get this tattoo because he thought that it would add to his already good looks. The tattoo is Rennells’s initials located on his bicep. Rennells claims that once he got this tattoo the girls began to flock to him and by showing off the tattoo, on what he claims to be a large bicep, they could not resist.

"Most of my tattoos kind of hurt but my first one did not hurt at all because my bicep is so rock hard," Rennells said.

With this new found confidence on his looks Rennells had no choice but to get another tattoo. This one cannot usually be seen in public because it is located on his buttocks, but it does cater to everyone because it says "your name." Rennells also considers this to be the most painful out of all the tattoos that he has.

"I decided to get this tattoo mostly because when I moon people I can make them laugh instead of making them cry," Rennells said.

With a tattoo on one bicep already Rennells decided to even it out and get another tattoo on his other arm. This one is considered among the student body to be Rennell’s worst decision. This tattoo is a robot. Just a plain robot that Rennells can make dance when he flexes his arm. When I asked Rennells for a quote on this tattoo he had no comment other than that he has been called many vulgarities for having this tattoo.

And Rennells’s latest tattoo, having being done just this month, is an outline of Michigan, including the UP, on his right arm.

"After seeing all of Tyler’s tattoos I would have to say that the robot is my favorite, even though I would never get a tattoo of that under any circumstances," junior Drake Cooke said.

After I asked Tyler what his next tattoo will be he said he’s not sure yet but he promises that it will entertaining for the North Muskegon student body.
