As most teens find out the odds for high school relationships lasting long are very slim. But junior Jesse Temple and sophomore Hannah Curry have beat those odds so far. Temple and Curry who surpassed the one year mark in their relationship on Jan. 7 say they are both very happy with each other.
“I love how we are so comfortable with each other,” Curry said.
When their relationship went passed a year Curry said her parents weren’t surprised, instead very excited. According to Curry, her parents still adore him as they did when they first met him. As for Temple’s parents they had the complete opposite reaction.
“They were very surprised, but they were very happy for us.” Temple said.
After high school Temple plans to join the marines, while Curry is still undecided.
“After the marines, if we are still together, I would like to settle down and start a family.” Temple said.
Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate a couple’s love for each other, with gifts. For Valentine’s Day last year, Curry said Temple got her a big teddy bear with a dozen roses. She also said the most romantic thing he’s ever done is sang to her.
“The most romantic thing she has ever done for me is when she wrote I love you really big in the snow.” Temple said.
In their free time the couple likes to go out to eat, watch movies, and just be with each other.
“This relationship is way more serious than any of my other ones,” Temple said, “and we are very happy at the moment.”
