Even as car companies release their new lines of vehicles for 2009, nothing can come close to the originality of the '94 Saturn owned by junior Nate Reeser. The special features are not likely to be found in any other model due to a line of family occurrences.
 “My sister and my dad owned it before me,” Reeser said. “She got rear-ended, which is why it's messed up.”
 The subsequent features include a broken driver's side window, a right front tire which leaks air, and a gas cap that opens at the pull of a lever. A true renovation is with the trunk: a 2x4 is used to hold the trunk lid up while in use, and a brake disc weighs the trunk down.
 In the 5 years of its ownership by the Reeser family, the Saturn has endured many mishaps. From hitting shopping carts, other cars, and metal poles to hit-and-run incidents, this model has been extensively tested to ensure durability.
 “When I was backing around, I hit a car,” said Reeser. “I didn't think I hit it, so I drove away. A cop pulled me out of class [for the incident].”
 For custom maintenance, Reeser changes his own oil and gold-plated brakes, along with finding “more ways to try to hold down the trunk lid.”
 Aside from being a rugged vehicle known for endurance, the Saturn also provides an enjoyable ride as Reeser drives around in random cul-de-sacs and overheats due to a damaged heater. Sophomore J.D. Barnes, freshman Gio Patete, and senior Jonathon Issac are the customary passengers who are transported in the Saturn.
