Cheerleader Kyle Tarbill does a black flip.
Junior Kyle Tarbill has been apart of competative cheerleading for two years and has been a member of  The Cheer  Center All-Stars and Step 1.
He decided to switch to Step 1 recently because he was ready for more of a challenge than The  Cheer Center was offering him.
Tarbill chose cheerleading because he feels he has a natural talent. He became so advanced in this by independently working hard.
Tarbill practices three times a week and competes almost twice every weekend. Competitions take place in surrounding states in the US, but his favorite competition is the World Competition in Walt Disney World.
“You get to see different teams around the world,” said Tarbill.
There is a difference between all-star cheering and school cheering. Tarbill said all-star is at a higher level of difficulty, and spring floors are used.  Even if our school competed at the level of Tarbill’s all-star team he would still prefer to wear the purple, red and yellow of the Step1 All-Stars, but does think that our schoo squad is very good as well.
Tarbill believes that nbeing a male cheerleader has made him strong but it also changes the way people look at him.
“It’s not really a normal thing for guys to cheer, but people don’t understand how hard it is. It takes lots of confidence,” said Tarbill.
He said his mother is his biggest fan because she has always supported him 100 percent throughout his cheering career.
