As always, at the end of the school year there are lots of fun activities and trips. There is the Yosemite trip, 8th grade dance, and also the 8th grade promotion. All of these activities are a way of rewarding the students who did well this year, since there are certain grade and citizenship requirements to be able to participate. Some of these requirements are no N’s or U’s or not being late to class more than once.

One of the activities is the 7th grade Yosemite trip. It is a one-week trip for 7th graders where they go to Yosemite national park. The purpose of the trip is to learn about the natural wild life in the park and to see the park. It is from June 3 to June 8.
The 8th grade promotion is a ceremony for the graduating 8th grades of the school to officially go into high school. It honors the students who have made it past middle school and are going into high school.
All of these activities are meant to give students a reason to do well in class and to be a good part of the learning environment.
