Summer is here in 6 weeks (5 weeks for seniors!), and everyone is starting to get excited, even the teachers. Students are making plans, whether it involves going on vacation, going to parties, or just hanging at home. Everyone is going to be starting to dig out their summer clothes and flip flops, and girls are finding their bathing suits and wondering if they should get a new one.
Seniors are thinking about senior trips and some are getting excited about the Europe trip. Many are contemplating how they are spending one last summer at home, and finally going to college in the fall. Juniors are starting to think about senior year and how much fun they will have as the “top dogs” in the school and their final year at THS. Sophomores and freshman are thinking about how it is possible that they survived one more year of high school, and many are thankful for this fact.
As summer comes around the weather gets warmer and people are opening up pools. The outdoors people are getting games of football or soccer or baseball. Girls are working on their tans and trying not to get burnt. As it hits students are looking forward to not having to wake up early every morning, while others are looking for summer jobs to make a little extra cash. It’s probable that most are looking forward to not having to worry about homework or tests.
Bonfires, and fireworks, and water balloons and parties are a favorite for the 4th of July holiday. Summer holidays, hanging out with friends and family are just some of the perks of summer.
Summer is coming and everyone is getting excited for it; it’s safe to say that THS is going to make the best of it!
