If you are a teen between the ages of 14 and 19 and love art you should consider working at ArtWorks this summer. The ArtWork’s program hires teens and professional artists in the area to paint buildings and murals in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The ArtWorks’ program is a great opportunity for aspiring artists, as well as general art lovers, to display their creativity and talents to benefit the community. It is also a great opportunity for anyone who wishes to improve the Cincinnati area. Some projects they plan to work on this summer include, an art show at Fountain Square, painting and decorating benches for display at the Cincinnati Children’s Museum, doing murals in many neighborhood communities, stage crew at the Children’s Theatre, and creating art in bathrooms and other unexpected places in the Cincinnati Art Museum.

Along with the opportunities to see your art work all over town, you will also be able to build your art portfolio. If you are planning on a career in the field of art or entering into AP Art next year it would give you some pieces to add to your collection. Not to mention, it would also enhance your artistic talents.

Working with professional artists gives the opportunity to learn news styles and techniques in art. It also may build your references for future jobs and colleges.

Lastly, ArtWorks actually pays for your art. The hours are for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Combine your love of art and creativity for a summer job at ArtWorks. It’ll definitely be one of the most exciting and fun summer jobs you’ll ever have. For more information and to apply for the ArtWorks program visit their website at
