In Brief: AP Exams to Begin in May
Advertising
The 2006-07 Advanced Placement Program exams will take place on a two week schedule starting on May 7 and ending on May 18.

At the beginning of the school year students,

sophomores through seniors, had the opportunity to enroll in college- level courses. There are 37 AP courses available in 22 subject areas that range from art to human geography and more.

AP exams contain multiple choice questions

and a free-response section based off of material that students were taught during the year.

Those that decide to take the exams at the end of the school year risk nothing and may benefit from it by earning college credit and/or advanced placement in a certain course.

The fee for each exam is $83.00. Reductions of $22.00 per exam apply for students with financial

needs. There will also be an $8.00 dollar

rebate for each fee-reduced exam.

For more information on the AP exams, go to www.collegeboard.com or stop by the school’s office and pick up the pamphlet.
