How do you tell your best friend that their spouse is cheating on them? Is there a good time to tell them? Or, do you even tell them at all? All of these questions are addressed in the new comedy, “The Dilemma”.

There are two friends, practically inseparable, played by  Vince Vaughn and Kevin James. They are the best of friends who would do anything for each other. They are partners in an auto design firm. A big promotion is in their future, if only they can nail an interview with a major client.

When Vaughn, catches his best friend’s wife with another man, his world is turned upside down. All he wants are answers, but getting these answers and risking his friendship or continuing to pursue the promotion are choices he must prioritize. He must decide if telling his friend the truth is the right thing to do, and, if it is, should he tell him now and risk the promotion?

This is one of the funniest movies I have seen this year. What makes it so funny is the way Vaughn makes his discoveries. For example, he catches the cheaters at a green house, but while he is spying he falls into poisonous plants and gets kicked out of the green house. He also follows them home and falls out of a tree trying to take pictures.

Some people tried to discourage me from seeing this movie, but in the end I’m glad I did. Everyone in the theater could not stop laughing.

This is one of Vaughn’s funniest movies. He and James make the perfect pair. Vaughn definitely shines as the lead actor, and James keeps his reputation as a comedic actor. Channing Tatum, who plays the mysterious boyfriend, shows that he can be a versatile actor and a star in a comedy.

Sometimes what you don’t say to a friend is just as important as what you do.
