Girls start planning for Prom really early at the beginning of their junior and senior. Prom is a very expensive event, so it is good to find different ways to reduce the cost of it and still have an amazing night. You would think that to have a great prom, you would have to spend a lot of money. There are plenty of ways to deduct it.

Girls spend more money than guys it would seem, because they get hair done, and a lot more. Guys just normally get a tux and that’s it.

According to Seventeen Prom Winter/Spring 2011, girls can save around forty dollars on doing fingernails and toenails with your friends at home before prom. Some girls will make their own prom dress and save them $140.

Hair normally cost a good deed of money as well. You could have somebody from school do your hair. Limos could take a big chunk out of prom, so you could rent a cheaper vehicle. That could save you around fifty dollars.

Normally girls get their makeup done by somebody in a mall or have somebody do it that they are friends with, but if you do not have that, you could go on           Youtube and get great ideas for a wonderful look. Instead of just going straight to the restaurant, call in early and you could possibly get a 10% discount if you say you have a prom party with you.

Greenwood Christian’s Prom is coming soon. Mrs. Aurelia Koschel is over the financial funding of prom. “DJ costs $200. Cupcakes costs $200. Tickets are $25 for two people. Prom is around $2,000 overall,” she said. This event is very exciting and girls dream about this night every night, but it’s good to deduct prices in ways.
