Online Bullying Report Form -

Recently, the Camden County School District has introduced a new, electronic form in order to anonymously report acts of bullying within the schools. The district Administration hopes that this form will help them “crack down” on bullying. The form will allow students to electronically submit complaints regarding bullying, allowing the identity of the student to remain unknown, increasing comfort in the process. The form goes directly to the Administrative Office of the school district so complaints can be overseen.
This simple form is accessible through the district, Camden County High or CamTech High School’s websites as “links”. For example, an interested student or parent may go to Camden County High School Web site at www.camden.k12.nc.us/cchs/index.html to find the form under the subheading “links” and then clicking “Bullying Report Form”. The simple form can be filled out in a matter of minutes, and offers required and optional sections, denoted by red asterisks. The form asks for general information regarding a bullying incident, which will allow administration to gather as much information as possible to stop the bullying.
Bullying has become a more and more relevant topic in the halls of Camden High and at high schools across America. Only recently, Camden High has seen an increase in student fights, with two witnessed within the past month of March. Due to recent incidents, the high school administration has taken action. In addition to the electronic form, Principal Billie Berry and Assistant Principal James Oliver met with each grade separately to discuss the urgency of the situation and to describe the proper steps to report incidents of bullying.
Beyond using the new online form, the faculty of all Camden County schools urges students to report any incident to a teacher, administration, or the Student Resource Officer (SRO). So, if anyone witnesses an act of bullying, they are asked to report it immediately in order to make schools in Camden a safe place.
