Almost all of the top videos on youtube consist of some sort of game. By game I mean video games. The reason why is because people hold contests for people to win free things. They will offer a code to a game like Minecraft, or offer to play with people on Call of Duty if people "like" and "favorite" the video.

A person who makes a lot of money off of playing video games, as well as being a fan is Tobuscus. He plays many games, and makes literal trailers for different games. He has also made some commercials for Game Stop.

Games are ruling the youtube community, and it's amazing because the person who is at the top of the charts has no videos that involve games. The top youtubers mostly don’t have game videos, but the lower class, the people who aren’t at the top; all they do is upload game videos. Usually they play the game beforehand, and add commentary to it with some sort of editing software.

Not only are Xbox games like Call of Duty and Halo popular among people, but Pokemon is too. The number one publisher of game videos, Machinima, is starting their own Pokemon section. It is called Projectmoshpit, and it is their hope to show how competitive the Pokemon scene can really be.

Here is a video from Projectmoshpit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhwTCcOI_Pc&feature=channel_video_title

The maker of this video’s username is TonyFlygon. He is decently popular among the Pokemon community. In part of his humor, he explains his own gaming strategies well, and he is just a good commentator period. He features Pokemon teams he wants, not teams that everyone else is running.

Compared to an actual video, most people would probably enjoy the Machinima, from which the channel gets its name, more. People can make actual machinimas, which are videos created within a video game such as Red vs. Blue.

Here is a link to Machinimas actual channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/machinima?blend=2&ob=4
