This past Monday, May 21, the theatre cast and crew departed on a long journey to Austin, Texas for their UIL State competition. They left on Monday morning on a six hour bus drive; they arrived that evening at the University of Texas (UT) campus. When their time arrived and they had to perform for many people who had driven to see them, they were the first to perform for the judges, and gave all that they had in order be a candidate for the first place gold metal. But they were unsuccessful in receiving the medals they were hoping for. Lindsey Johnson, the two evil twins in the play, was awarded with an Honorable Mention from the judges. The play did not receive medals at the end of the night, but the cast was still honored to have taken the play to state and be 8^th out of the two hundred and something schools that had started the journey back at the beginning of the season.

 Nathon Harmon, Dr Jekyl in the show, stated that he was glad he made it that far this year, and that it made him feel accomplished as a theatre senior. Also, Garrett McCowen, the cast's sound person said" it was a privilege to have gotten to go to state for the second year in a row."

 The cast hopes that next year when they start their new play and competitions that they will be as successful as they were this year.
